Job Summary
Social Media Manager

Location: (Hybrid) Los Angeles, CA

Compensation: The annual salary range for this position is $71,733 – $83,925.

Meow Wolf is looking for a Los Angeles‑based Social Media Manager to grow our brand’s social presence as we rapidly expand our footprint, becoming our on‑the‑ground support for the 2026 LA exhibition opening and beyond. As part of our social media team, you’ll contribute to shaping and executing a dynamic, highly engaging social media strategy across both brand and local Meow Wolf channels. You’ll craft content that sparks interest, drives conversations, and brings our immersive experiences to life in the digital space. You’ll also be a touchpoint for creators in Los Angeles, helping to drive our overall influencer strategy at the local level.

Key Responsibilities

Support social media management across all Meow Wolf’s current and future owned social media channels.

Concept, write, edit, and publish compelling social media posts that bring the Meow Wolf universe to life in collaboration with the full social media team.

Maintain a consistent and vibrant social media tone and voice that reflects Meow Wolf’s unique brand personality—playful & imaginative, bold, curious and surreal—ensure all content feels authentic, engaging, and in line with our creative strategy and vision.

Support and execute local influencer efforts, including outreach, negotiation, and briefing.

Keep eyes on social strategy implementation across regional Meow Wolf locations.

Provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance on content for local channels, ensuring cohesion while allowing for location‑specific creativity.

Monitor performance of regional social content and optimize for impact.

Monitor key social media KPIs, analyze data, and adjust strategies to maximize engagement and growth.

Leverage insights to refine content performance, audience targeting, and platform approach.

Stay on top of emerging social media trends, tools, and best practices.

Work closely with brand and local marketing teams and more to align social media efforts with larger brand initiatives.

Collaborate closely with paid digital teams for boosting organic efforts, ensuring alignment of organic social strategy with paid campaigns and other owned media channels.

Partner with PR/comms, brand studio, and narrative/exhibition teams to integrate social into larger campaigns and universe storytelling efforts.

Coordinate with community manager and guest experience team to ensure timely responses and proactive community engagement.

Assist with local LA content needs in concert with internal and external teams.

Required Qualifications

3+ years of experience managing brand social media accounts with a proven track record of success; 2+ years marketing, advertising or agency experience in the attraction, entertainment, recreation facility, or other public space strongly preferred.

Customer service & crisis management skills.

General knowledge of the Arts & Immersive Entertainment industry.

Strong understanding of social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

Deep expertise in content creation and storytelling across formats, from sharp, compelling copy to multimedia content and narratives that genuinely connect with audiences.

Solid social video production and editing skillset.

Experience working on creator campaigns with the ability to identify the right voices, write creator briefs, and execute creative that feel authentic.

Comfortable appearing (at times) on camera.

Master collaborator; thrive in cross‑functional environments, working closely with creative teams, regional marketers, and brand stakeholders.

Lover of the weird, wild, and wonderful; familiar with or excited by Meow Wolf and its unique brand.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and scanners. The position also works indoors with exposure to noisy environments, dim lighting, strong visual effects including strobing lights, special effects, fog machines, and small or enclosed spaces.

Physical demands include walking, standing, taking stairs, slides, elevators, navigating the elements day and night. Remaining seated or standing for prolonged periods, repeat motions of wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, depth vision and ability to adjust focus. Able to lift up to 10 pounds at times.

Work Schedule
Full‑time position averaging 40 hours a week, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm MT or 10 am to 6 pm MST – occasionally requiring flexibility to work during evenings or weekends based on business needs, as well as travel to off‑site locations depending on the role and need.
