This is a national trade association representing international companies that plays an influential role in shaping policy conversations on Capitol Hill. This position offers the opportunity to support the creative direction of the organization's digital presence, from website management to advocacy campaigns, while working closely with senior communications leadership on high-visibility projects that reach members, stakeholders, and policymakers alike.
Responsibilities
Lead the creative development of digital and graphical assets
Drive content production for materials such as blog entries, factsheets, slide decks, and research reports
Manage the organization's website and digital channels
Plan, design, and execute promotional advocacy campaigns
Draft, edit, and send memos to members, stakeholders, and Capitol Hill
Assist the director of media relations and communications with daily news monitoring on issues important to the organization and its membership
Provide cross-functional support for all communications needs
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Two to three years of demonstrable communications experience with a business association, political campaign, congressional or executive branch office, corporate or public affairs agency
A minimum of a BA/BS degree, preferably in communications, marketing, journalism, political science, or a related field
Command of Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite programs, including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After Effects
Proven experience with digital communications and social media
Strong writing and editorial proficiency, as well as solid verbal communication skills
Proactive organizational skills, with excellent follow-through and a positive attitude, in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in work
Interest in international trade, tax, and commerce is a plus
