Senior Principal Systems Engineer
Collins Aerospace is seeking a motivated Senior Principal Systems Engineer to join the Future Systems team supporting development of the Collins Flight Deck. This role offers the opportunity to work on real avionics programs and gain hands-on experience across the systems lifecycle—from requirements and architecture through integration, verification, and delivery. As part of the team, you will work alongside experienced engineers to help define high-level system behavior, decompose requirements, support avionics architecture development, and contribute to system verification activities. You will lead a small team of designers, human factors, and systems engineers through design of a next generation aviation user interface. You will work directly with customers and pilot teams to design the next generation UI/UX. This is a strong fit for those who enjoy solving technical problems, learning complex systems, and collaborating across software, systems, and test disciplines.
This is an onsite position in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
