Media Coordinator – NBC Sports, Stamford, CT
The Media Coordinator is responsible for the organization, tracking, and management of digital content for use by our various Production units within NBC Sports. You serve as a first line of support for Production that runs 24/7, both at our NBC Sports Facility (Stamford, CT) and at various broadcast remote locations. You will be part of a team involved in all aspects of Production workflows—creation, documentation, and support—to ensure deadlines are met. You will work alongside our Broadcast & Post Engineering group, triaging day‑to‑day issues and escalating as needed.

Responsibilities

Ingest MLB camera ENG with appropriate LUTs

Ensure MLB production assets are archived for easy restoration

Manage daily ingest of hundreds of recorded MLB events (pressers, shows, sporting events) and catalogue appropriately when needed; otherwise delete

Monitor and manage storage levels of multiple workgroups and workspaces and act accordingly

Provide tier 1 technical support to Production in prioritizing asset restore requests in a timely manner and escalating to Engineering when required

Assist Production in both the distribution and retrieval of MLB content using various digital deliveries (Media Shuttle, Frame.io, Latakoo, Dropbox, etc.)

Assist Production on a technical level with media issues throughout the facility and escalating to Engineering when required

Teach Production the file‑based workflows available to them to meet their deliverables

Ensure the proper assembly and delivery of media for MLB remotes via hard drives and file transfers

Assist with file‑based content delivery for on air (NBC, Peacock) and our various playbacks and control rooms—both on site and remote

Work alongside the Post Engineering team to help achieve goals and meet deadlines

Basic Requirements

Bachelor's degree in TV Production or related field; or equivalent experience

Minimum two (2) years of experience and working knowledge of Avid products (Interplay, Access, and Media Composer) or similar editing products

Desired Characteristics

Solid interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to understand immediate issues, interact with clients, and respond to meet day‑of‑air deadlines

Asset Management system knowledge

Cursory knowledge of video codecs

Experience within a broadcast environment

Attention to detail and responsiveness

Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment

Knowledge of edit products preferred (Adobe Premiere/Media Encoder)

Technologically proficient

Self‑motivated, capable of working independently but also alongside a team as required

Able to handle and prioritize a high volume of production requests within a timely period

Hybrid Working Arrangement
This position has been designated as hybrid, which currently requires contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week. Beginning January 5, 2026, hybrid employees will be required to work from the office a minimum of four days per week. The Company reserves the right to change in‑office requirements at any time.
