Industrial Painter
1st Shift
This role focuses on industrial and aerospace painting in a production environment, using spray equipment and paint booths to finish aviation and industrial components to precise specifications. You prepare surfaces, apply coatings, and follow detailed blueprints and work instructions while working safely with respirators and other protective equipment on a consistent first-shift schedule.
Responsibilities
Interpret and follow blueprints and production documentation to understand painting requirements, specifications, and tolerances for industrial and aviation components.
Prepare parts and surfaces for painting, including cleaning, masking, sanding, blasting, and other paint prep activities to ensure proper adhesion and finish quality.
Set up and operate spray guns and related painting equipment to apply primers, topcoats, and specialty finishes in an industrial and aerospace environment.
Work in and around paint booths, ensuring proper use of ventilation and equipment to maintain a clean, controlled painting environment.
Perform industrial painting tasks on production parts, meeting quality, appearance, and durability standards for aviation and aerospace applications.
Monitor paint application for consistency, coverage, and finish, making adjustments to equipment settings and techniques as needed.
Handle paints, solvents, and related materials safely, following all procedures for storage, mixing, labeling, and disposal.
Wear and properly use a respirator and other personal protective equipment during painting and prep activities, following training and fit-test requirements.
Collaborate with production and quality teams to meet daily output goals and ensure painted parts meet inspection and customer requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, including equipment, tools, and paint supplies, to support safety and efficiency.
Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or quality problems promptly and assist in troubleshooting and corrective actions.
Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and work instructions while working independently and efficiently on first-shift schedules.
Essential Skills
Previous experience in industrial painting in a production environment.
Experience using spray guns and related painting equipment for industrial or aerospace applications.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and work instructions related to painting and finishing requirements.
Ability to wear and work with a respirator for extended periods while performing painting and prep tasks.
Knowledge of paint preparation techniques, including masking, sanding, cleaning, and blasting.
Experience working in or around paint booths and understanding basic booth operation and safety.
Attention to detail to achieve consistent coverage, color, and finish quality on production and aviation parts.
Ability to follow safety procedures when handling paints, solvents, and other chemicals.
Capability to work full-time on a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience painting aviation or aerospace components is highly beneficial.
Experience in industrial or production environments, particularly in manufacturing or fabrication.
Familiarity with blasting processes as part of surface preparation.
Comfort working with detailed production schedules and meeting daily output targets.
Willingness to complete a respirator fit test and participate in provided safety and equipment training.
Strong work ethic and reliability in maintaining consistent attendance on assigned first-shift hours.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, first-shift industrial painting role in a production setting, with typical hours such as 6:00 AM2:30 PM, 7:00 AM3:30 PM, or 8:00 AM4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Work takes place in an industrial facility that includes paint booths and blasting areas, where you use spray guns, paints, solvents, and related equipment to finish aviation and industrial components. The environment requires regular use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, with fit testing and training provided. You can expect a hands-on, shop-floor setting focused on safety, cleanliness, and adherence to procedures, with a practical work attire suitable for industrial painting and production activities.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $35.76/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
