Managing Director - Employee Benefits

For our client, we are seeking a Managing Director - Employee Benefits to join the team of a leader in the Finance & Insurance space. This role will own compensation, benefits, and rewards programs that help attract, retain, and motivate talent at scale. You will partner with people leaders, finance, and executive stakeholders to align rewards programs with business needs and employee experience. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen pay practices, improve program governance, and create more consistent outcomes across the organization within a regulated financial services environment.
Location: Irvine, CA — US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $250,000 – $300,000 annually
Responsibilities

Create and manage strategies for business segment to achieve profitability goals
Recruit, coach, and develop Team Leads and colleagues
Manage financial performance metrics for the Business Segment
Foster relationships with insurance company partners and marketing colleagues
Enhance client service and satisfaction through improved service delivery
Identify opportunities for firm and process improvements
Partner with leadership on financial planning and business strategy

Qualifications

10-15 years of experience in employee benefits, with 5 years in a Senior Leadership role
State insurance licenses to provide consultation and financial risk transfer solutions
Deep understanding of insurance technical knowledge and market trends
Proven track record in developing and executing business strategies
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
