Vice President of Marketing

Uncommon Brands · Dallas, TX, USA ·

Pay:
$175,000-$200,000/yr
Job type:
Full Time

Uncommon Brands is experiencing exciting growth and is searching for a dynamic, strategic, and brand-obsessed marketing leader to join our expanding team.
We are building a portfolio of distinct brands within the food and beverage space, partnering with limited-service and fast-casual restaurants that have extraordinary food, exceptional service, and unrealized growth potential. We invest in consumer-obsessed concepts and provide the technology, systems infrastructure, and marketing expertise to unlock what they're capable of. Our current portfolio includes Fuego Tortilla Grill and The Rice Box, and we are actively expanding.
The Vice President of Marketing will report directly to the CEO and serve as the internal authority on how our brands show up in the world, across every guest touchpoint, every channel, and every market we enter.
What You'll Do:
Brand Strategy & Identity

Own the marketing vision for the Uncommon Brands portfolio, protecting and evolving the identity of each concept while driving platform-level cohesion
Serve as the internal authority on brand voice, visual identity, and guest experience across all touchpoints: digital, in-store, social, print, and direct mail
Provide strategic direction on creative assets and brand standards across all internal and external communications
Articulate each brand's story; serve as a spokesperson with media, partners, and the broader guest community

Growth & Revenue

Develop and execute marketing strategies that grow same-store sales, support new restaurant openings, and build brand awareness in new markets
Partner with the VP of Operations to align promotions, LTOs, and field activations with real-world execution capacity
Own the marketing P&L, build the budget, track performance, and deliver against revenue and margin targets
Establish KPIs across all programs and adapt strategy quickly based on results
Anticipate market shifts and position the portfolio to capitalize on emerging opportunities

Digital Marketing & Analytics

Lead digital marketing across paid media, email, social, loyalty, and CRM, building the infrastructure to understand who our guests are and how to reach them
Oversee website strategy and ongoing development across brand properties
Leverage analytics tools to optimize campaign performance, inform investment decisions, and identify growth opportunities
Drive consumer insights and market research to sharpen product strategy and merchandise offerings

Agencies & Partnerships

Manage external agency and vendor relationships across creative, PR, digital, and production, ensuring deliverables are on-brand, on-time, and on-budget
Develop community, charity, and co-marketing partnerships that extend brand reach and build local relevance
Lead localized marketing strategies for new restaurant openings, from pre-launch through grand opening
Develop and oversee a university ambassador program that activates student brand ambassadors near Uncommon Brands locations to build brand awareness and drive guest acquisition

Artificial Intelligence & Emerging Technology

Leverage AI tools to improve the speed, personalization, and performance of marketing campaigns across channels
Explore and implement AI-driven solutions for content creation, audience segmentation, predictive analytics, and guest journey optimization
Stay current on emerging marketing technology platforms and evaluate their application across the portfolio
Champion a test-and-learn culture that embraces non-traditional approaches and uses data to validate new methods

Team & Culture

Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team; establish a culture of creativity, accountability, and continuous improvement
Create scalable systems and processes that support a growing multi-concept portfolio without sacrificing brand quality
Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, and People teams to ensure marketing is aligned with and accelerating overall business goals

What We're Looking For:

10+ years of senior marketing leadership with meaningful experience in fast-casual, QSR, hospitality, or multi-unit consumer brands
Proven track record leading the marketing function for a rapidly expanding, multi-state company; PE-backed environment experience a plus
Comfort leveraging AI tools and emerging marketing technology to drive efficiency, personalization, and performance
Deep expertise in brand strategy, digital marketing, social media, PR, loyalty, and CRM
Strong financial acumen, a clear understanding of how marketing investment drives margin, revenue, and long-term brand equity
Excellent communicator and presenter; equally effective in a boardroom and a creative brief
High learning agility with the ability to manage multiple brands, priorities, and timelines simultaneously
Entrepreneurial drive, energized by building, not maintaining
Passion for developing talent and creating teams that grow with the business
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field

Compensation & Benefits:
$175,000 – $200,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Uncommon Brands offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage, paid time off, and bonus eligibility.
