Mission Recruiting is conducting a confidential search for a Managing Attorney on behalf of a respected California employer-side employment law firm.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a senior employment attorney who is ready to step into a leadership role overseeing attorneys, driving litigation strategy, and managing the day-to-day operations of a sophisticated employment law practice.
The ideal candidate brings extensive employer-side employment law experience, a collaborative leadership style, and the ability to mentor attorneys while maintaining exceptional client service and legal excellence.
What You\'ll Do

Lead the day-to-day operations of the employment law practice
Supervise, mentor, and develop attorneys across the litigation team
Manage workflow, staffing, and case assignments to ensure efficiency and accountability
Oversee sophisticated employment litigation from strategy through resolution
Advise employer clients on complex workplace issues and risk management
Provide strategic guidance on wage and hour, class action, and PAGA matters
Collaborate with firm leadership on practice development, growth initiatives, and client service
Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture focused on professional excellence

Qualifications

Active California Bar membership in good standing
Extensive experience handling wage and hour, class action, and PAGA litigation
Demonstrated success managing complex employment matters and client relationships
Strong leadership, mentoring, and team management abilities
Excellent legal writing, analytical, negotiation, and communication skills
Experience overseeing attorneys or leading a litigation team is strongly preferred

Additional compensation structure available for attorneys with a portable book of business
