Production Associate Automated Apparel Manufacturing

This role supports and owns key parts of a modern manufacturing team's efforts in operating and maintaining novel automated apparel assembly equipment, while driving overall production performance in soft goods manufacturing. You will work hands-on with advanced automated production lines, ensuring they run smoothly, safely, and efficiently to meet output, quality, and yield targets.
Responsibilities

Own the daily operation of automated apparel production lines and ensure performance consistently meets output, quality, and yield targets.
Support day-to-day manufacturing operations, including material handling, equipment support, quality inspection, and other tasks as needed.
Retrieve and stage production materials in accordance with established work orders and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform or coordinate repairs, and promptly report equipment errors and malfunctions to the engineering and manufacturing teams.
Record parts usage accurately and update stock quantities to maintain proper inventory levels.
Assist in training team members on the proper use of production equipment as the team grows and scales.
Perform packing and shipping of finished products in line with quality and packaging standards.
Follow safety standards and procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
Maintain organization and cleanliness of workstations and surrounding production areas.
Essential Skills

Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with general production activities such as packaging, packing, and working on a production line.
Familiarity with manufacturing processes and workflows.
Basic machine operation skills, including starting, stopping, monitoring, and adjusting equipment.
Experience performing or supporting quality control and quality inspection tasks.
Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues and communicate effectively with engineering or maintenance teams.
Strong attention to detail when handling materials, recording parts usage, and updating stock quantities.
Commitment to following safety standards and maintaining a clean, organized work area.
Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in soft goods or apparel manufacturing is beneficial.
Comfort working with automated or robotics-driven equipment.
Ability to follow detailed work orders and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
Willingness to support cross-functional tasks, including material handling, equipment support, and shipping activities.
Interest in learning new technologies and processes in an innovative manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing environment that centers on automated apparel production lines and advanced robotics-driven equipment. You will work around machinery, material handling systems, and quality control stations, with an emphasis on maintaining clean, organized workstations and safe operating practices. The role follows a day shift schedule, with the specific start time finalized during the interview process to align with production needs; the shift will begin between 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 a.m. depending on the production schedule. The environment is dynamic and technology-driven, with a strong focus on precision, consistency, and adherence to standard operating procedures.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newark, CA.
Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
