Overview

Unity Technologies seeks a Senior Technical Content Marketing Manager to strategize, create, and deliver high-quality technical content (video, written, sample projects) to fuel GTM and help users master Unity tools, especially the engine and editor for our graphics and UI flows. This role drives global marketing and sales by developing a robust content pipeline to acquire, educate, and support professional game developers. Formats include articles, code/demos, and video tutorials. Success requires collaboration with Product Marketing, Customer Success, Product Management, Creative, Social Media, and Marketing to define roadmaps and execute plans for awareness, adoption, retention, and revenue. Reports to the Content Marketing Manager team lead. This role will be integral to the overall omnichannel content marketing strategy and roadmap, requiring a partnership with the lead Content Marketing Manager (CMM) and Product Marketing Manager (PMM) to drive content and presentations, including developing talking points and messaging.
Key Responsibilities

Written Content and Code: Develop and co‑develop technical articles and sample code in collaboration with stakeholders such as tech artists and R&D engineers.
Video Tutorials: Create and produce short feature‑in‑action videos and tutorials using in‑editor footage. This content will visually demonstrate workflows, best practices, and the full capabilities of our tools, helping customers understand complex functionalities.
Hands‑on Assets: Build mini‑demos, samples, and code snippets to facilitate user experience, onboarding, and success. Provide customers with hands‑on opportunities to experience the power of the tools directly on their own machines, translating complex features into tangible experiences.
Qualifications

Unity Editor Expertise: Must be technically inclined with high proficiency in using the Unity editor, capable of confidently and articulately explaining technical concepts and workflows within it including writing C# code.
Content Creation Focus: Substantial hands‑on experience in creating game development content for both customer acquisition and customer success.
Technical Audience Understanding: Deep understanding of the game development landscape and its technical audiences (across programmers, artists, designers, producers, etc.).
Deep Technical Content Marketing: Proven experience in deep technical content marketing, including writing, editing, and producing video content.
Multimedia Production Skills: Proficiency with Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and audio editing software like Audacity.
Multichannel Marketing: Understanding and experience with multichannel marketing, specifically as it relates to pre‑ and post‑purchase customer journeys.
Self‑Starter/Initiative: A proactive self‑starter who takes initiative to propose and execute ideas on when, where, and how technical content should be created to complement the larger content strategy and support go‑to‑market motions.
Collaboration and Leadership: Highly collaborative, willing to lead technical video content projects and partner cross‑functionally (e.g., with PMM, creative, events, web teams) to build robust content marketing strategies.
Best Practice Establishment: Ability to establish and enforce best practices for technical articles, sample code, and video content, educating the team on effective and ineffective approaches.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in tutorial creation or teaching Unity.
Experience and knowledge with using Unity for Industry or gaming services.
Experience as developer.

Compensation

$139,300.00 - $208,900.00
This range reflects the anticipated base salary for this position. Beyond base salary, this role may be eligible for equity awards and participation in our company incentive plans (such as annual discretionary bonuses or sales commissions). The final offer amount will depend on several factors, including geographic location and the candidate’s relevant experience, professional background, and skill set.
