Marketing Coordinator

Southern Hill Farms is a family-owned and operated farm located in Clermont, FL. We open our farm for guests to participate in u-pick strawberries, blueberries, peaches and flowers. In the fall, we offer a pumpkin patch and fall festival. Farming in Central Florida has been a family tradition for three generations, and we are honored to invite our neighbors to our beautiful farm. Through various activities and events, we strive to share our passion for the land with our community while encouraging people to spend time with their loved ones away from the hustle and bustle.

Southern Hill Farms seeks a highly organized and collaborative professional to join our team as a Marketing Coordinator. This role helps share the story of Southern Hill Farms by supporting social media, marketing campaigns, public relations efforts and seasonal promotions. The Marketing Coordinator blends creativity with organization, bringing ideas to life through engaging content and collaborative projects with our team. From capturing the beauty of the farm to promoting upcoming events, this role ensures every message reflects our values and invites the community to experience all that Southern Hill Farms has to offer. Impeccable verbal and written communication skills are essential, as well as a friendly demeanor and a desire to work with others. The workload will vary by season.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Create and execute content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok and future social media platforms with a goal to engage and inform current and future customers.

Design visual text and imagery concepts, for print and digital platforms, to communicate ideas that inspire, inform and captivate customers.

Plan and execute editorial and content creation calendar for social media platforms.

Publish seasonal website content and make website updates in collaboration with our web designer.

Regularly create and send email newsletters to our subscriber list using Mailchimp, ensuring content aligns with seasonal events, promotions and brand voice.

Work in collaboration with the Operations Director to manage the Attractions.io app, keeping content updated and sending push notifications for marketing initiatives and on-farm announcements.

Leverage measurement tools to provide progress reports and mine insights; use monthly analytics to evaluate performance and implement improvements through testing and new initiatives.

Execute the role of public relations when needed.

Maintain consistency across all messaging to align with company values, mission, overall story and brand voice.

Engage with the audience and customers on social media, following customer care best practices.

Embrace an "all hands-on deck" approach. Some evening and weekend work will be required due to the always-on nature of social media and public relations.

Required Skillset

High School Diploma or equivalent and Bachelor's Degree required.

1+ year experience working in an office setting.

Superior written and verbal communication skills.

Knowledge of social media and Meta Business Suite.

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively and independently.

Must be customer-service, people, and detail oriented.

Able to complete complex administrative tasks with minimal supervision.

Positive attitude, flexible schedule and adaptability required.

Must work and interact well with others.

Must be legally qualified to work in the U.S. (proof of eligibility is required upon employment)

Must be willing to complete a background check.

Must be willing to adapt to a flexible schedule.
