Job Overview

We are seeking a

Transmission Analyst

with

transmission lines knowledge or experience

to support the capital project closeout process within the Transmission Engineering organization. This role ensures that transmission capital projects are reconciled and properly closed after construction completion, requiring strong analytical skills and familiarity with transmission line design, construction, and operations.
Key Responsibilities

Manage the

capital project closeout process

in compliance with the Transmission Capital Project Closeout management procedure.
Research and resolve variances between

project actuals and estimates .
Perform

reconciliation and closure of capital projects

once placed in service.
Track and maintain

project closeout status

and generate required business reports.
Ensure all documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with company procedures.
Develop and maintain

customer-focused relationships

with stakeholders across Engineering, Supply Chain, Property Accounting, Project Management, Construction, and Compliance.
Support continuous improvement by identifying gaps and recommending process enhancements.
Qualifications

Education

Associate degree (two-year) in a technical field with related work experience (required).
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (preferred).
Experience

Prior experience managing

power utility transmission capital projects

(preferred).
Strongly preferred: experience in

transmission line design and/or construction .
Knowledge & Skills

Familiarity with

transmission line design, construction, operation, and maintenance .
Working knowledge of

materials, equipment, and costs

associated with transmission line projects.
Technical experience with

TEAMS (Transmission Estimating and Management System), Maximo, Vault, and/or PowerPlan

(preferred).
Proficiency in

Microsoft Office , with the ability to analyze large sets of transaction data.
Strong

analytical, organizational, and time management

skills.
Excellent

teamwork and communication

abilities to collaborate across multiple departments.
Note:

This is not a Project Management or Project Controls role. The position is focused on analytical reconciliation of project charges after construction is completed and the transmission asset has been placed in service. Candidates must bring working knowledge of transmission lines and strong problem-solving skills to research and resolve financial variances.
