Primary Objective
The Associate Product Manager (APM) is an early‑career product role responsible for supporting and, over time, owning delivery of features, epics, and projects across the Global Media Product portfolio. The role blends product execution, analytical problem‑solving, and hands‑on troubleshooting—working closely with senior Product Managers, Product Operations, Engineering, Research, and Commercial teams.

This role is designed for candidates with 0–3 years of experience who are excited by complex products, real customer problems, and the opportunity to grow into greater product ownership.

Scope of Role
Core Responsibilities
1. Product Execution & Ownership

Support senior product leaders in executing against defined roadmaps and priorities

Take ownership of

discrete features, epics, or delivery projects

as appropriate

Help translate high‑level product intent into clear requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria

Track progress, manage dependencies, and proactively surface risks or blockers

Grow responsibility over time from execution support to independent ownership of defined scope

2. Analytics, Troubleshooting & Solution Support

Support analytical investigation of product performance, client issues, or unexpected results

Assist with troubleshooting data, integration, or workflow issues in partnership with Engineering and Research teams

Help diagnose root causes of issues affecting delivery, outputs, or customer experience

Contribute to solution design, validation, and documentation for fixes or enhancements

Gain exposure to

solutions ‑ engineering ‑ style problem solving

in a real product environment

3. Planning & Delivery Participation (SAFe / PI)

Participate actively in PI planning, sprint rituals, backlog refinement, and readiness reviews

Help maintain timelines, milestones, and delivery commitments for owned areas of work

Partner with Product Operations to support planning hygiene, execution readiness, and tooling

Ensure decisions made during planning cycles are clearly documented and followed through

4. Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Engineering, Research, and adjacent teams to support delivery outcomes

Prepare materials for roadmap reviews, planning sessions, and stakeholder updates

Collaborates with business development and client service to train on new product launches

Help ensure alignment between product intent, technical implementation, and delivery timelines

Engage with clients and internal teams to validate solutions and incorporate feedback into feature delivery

Develop foundational product skills including:

Problem definition and requirements writing

Analytical thinking and troubleshooting

Delivery tracking and stakeholder communication

Learn how complex media, measurement, and analytics products are built and integrated

Progressively take on more ownership and decision‑making responsibility with coaching and support

Success Measures (First 12–18 Months)

Successfully owns and delivers defined features, epics, or projects

Produces clear, high‑quality requirements and analytical insights

Demonstrates strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills

Earns trust as a reliable, proactive product contributor

Shows progression toward increased product ownership and autonomy

Essential Skills & Capabilities

1–3 years of experience in product, analytics, technology, consulting, or related roles in advertising/ad measurement

Attention to detail & ability to diagnose areas for improvement within product

Comfort working with cross‑functional teams in a fast‑moving environment

Curiosity, initiative, and desire to grow as a product manager

Comfort with Microsoft Office products

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Nice to Have

Exposure to Agile or SAFe environments

Experience with data, analytics, or technical products, including SQL, SPSS, Python, etc.

Interest in media, advertising, or measurement products

Familiarity with AI tools, including experience building or experimenting with agentic solutions (e.g., using tools like Claude Code, Copilot, OpenAI, etc.) for FAQs, operational processes, troubleshooting, or lightweight internal tooling and prototyping.

Communication

Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills

Technical/ Analytical

Interest / passion in marketing research methods, tools, and science

Interest / intellectual curiosity in learning the various Kantar solutions

Strong analytical skills – both quantitative (Excel, SPSS etc.) and qualitative

Proficiency in Microsoft office tools and ability to master other needed business tools

Ability to think strategically and support the development of insights, implications and recommendations for our clients

Aptitude for technical leadership for maximum client impact

The salary range for this role is $80,000- $85,066 USD Annual. Your final base salary will be determined based on several factors which may include but are not limited to location, work experience, skills, knowledge, education and/or certifications.
