Overview
The Sales Executive Account Director is the first line of contact between CondéNast and its key clients within the Automotive industry. The role will drive advertising revenue and partnerships in the Industry Portfolio, ideate, sell, negotiate, and deliver fully integrated programs across print, mobile, digital, and video platforms. The position acts as the Industry Ambassador at key industry events and trade shows within the assigned territory and serves as the single point of contact for named and business development accounts.
Primary Responsibilities
Serve as the single point of contact for named accounts.
Develop and manage short‑ and long‑term account plans for named clients.
Communicate the entire CNOne value proposition to clients within the industry.
Provide industry insights and thought leadership to Brand Collections.
Leverage industry‑specific insights to grow Print, Digital, Video, Branded Content, and Experiential revenue across all collections.
Coordinate brand and product specialist resources to support the account.
Convert specified business development accounts within the industry portfolio.
Penetrate existing accounts via sell‑through of Digital, Video, Branded Content, and Experiential ad products.
Provide accurate and timely business reporting, including revenue estimates, annual projections, and share‑of‑market analysis.
Requirements
10+ years of consultative integrated (multichannel) sales experience navigating relationships with both clients and agencies.
Strategic, consultative selling experience with proven ability to navigate large and complex deals.
Proven experience in creating compelling and persuasive presentations.
Desired Skills & Qualifications
Strong relationships with print/digital/programmatic/PR agencies and key client accounts.
Strong relationships across direct business and beyond.
Expert negotiation skills with experience in high‑level sales deals.
Excellent organizational and project management skills with ability to multi‑task, prioritize and manage time effectively while ensuring accuracy of work through attention to detail.
Experience working for a highly branded property is a plus.
Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with aptitude to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings.
Results‑driven and able to take ownership of situations.
Proven ability to deliver timely, accurate work products and follow up.
Drive change and innovation by improving work product or process, and challenge established norms where appropriate.
Proven ability to build supportive and constructive relationships within and outside the organization.
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this position is $174,000–$230,000. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including but not limited to relevant skills, training, experience, and education. Successful candidates may also be eligible for discretionary bonus compensation. In addition to salary and a generous employee benefits package, candidates may receive benefits as per company policy.
