Job Summary

The Documentation Specialist – Equipment Finance – Capital Market is responsible for independently reviewing and preparing lease and loan documentation in accordance with internal policies and procedures to ensure accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely closing. This mid-level role works directly with clients and internal partners to support the overall operational efficiency and quality of the department.
Responsibilities

Draft and review documentation per policies and applicable regulations.
Act as secondary point of contact for clients during transaction closings, coordinating with legal and internal stakeholders.
Ensure accurate data entry into booking/funding systems and resolve discrepancies.
Support training and provide guidance to entry-level documentation specialists.
Stay current on regulatory updates and propose process improvements.
Additional Accountabilities

Perform special projects and additional duties as required.
Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws, complete required compliance trainings.
Required Qualifications

High School / GED / HiSET / TASC or foreign equivalent.
7+ years in banking, leasing, or financial services with 3+ years of documentation experience.
Ability to interpret legal and financial documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong organizational, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in public funding or municipal finance.
Familiarity with industry-specific documentation software.

Compensation

Base pay will be determined based on location, experience and non-discriminatory factors. Variable incentives, bonuses, commissions and other awards may be part of total compensation.
