Position Summary

Plans, develops, refines, and implements targeted marketing initiatives and communications for both internal and external audiences across print, digital, web, and social media channels. Coordinates marketing projects with cross‑functional teams, tracks impact, and supports organizational goals.
Primary Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and implement targeted marketing initiatives, including events, publications, and recruitment campaigns.
Research relevant issues, conduct analyses, and propose solutions to achieve marketing objectives.
Write and produce final product communications and advertisements for delivery to departments and external segments.
Develop effective procedures for defining and tracking markets; coordinate development and administration of tracking systems.
Track impact, measure results, and modify strategies as needed.
Participate in strategic planning, coordination, and implementation of marketing initiatives to increase visibility of departmental programs, faculty achievements, clinical services, research, and education.
Collaborate across content, web, social media, design, and multimedia efforts to support organizational goals.
Deliver communications and presentations, and provide training to ensure consistent, effective messaging.
Serve as liaison between the Department of Surgery, WashU Medicine marketing and communications teams, and other internal and external partners to facilitate communication and coordinate initiatives.
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
Experience: Minimum 3 years of marketing experience.
Skills: Digital marketing, content development, project coordination, project leadership, social media awareness, Microsoft Office, oral and written communication, visual literacy.
Salary

Grade G11: $53,100.00 – $90,600.00 annually. Individual rates within the range are based on qualifications, performance, market rates, and departmental budget.
