Salary Range: $45,825.00 - $73,320.00 annually with benefits. Initial compensation typically between $45,825.00 and $48,116.25, depending on experience and qualifications.
Work Schedule: 37.5 hours per week. Must be able to work day, evening, and weekend hours.

Responsibilities

Manage, direct, and participate in the daily operations and activities of the Circulation Department in a full-service branch, including supervision of assigned staff, public service desk, circulation, and administrative duties.
Oversee the staff of the Circulation Department directly and Page Department indirectly, including participating in staff interviews, hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, and managing staff.
Schedule and approve timesheets; evaluate staff performance.
Oversee all circulation operations to ensure efficient workflows.
Promote library resources, programs, and services to increase customer engagement and community awareness.
Deliver exceptional service to every customer with efficiency, accuracy, and high-quality results.
Resolve issues in accordance with CCPL policies and procedures.
Supervise and support the Page Department, including budgeting, scheduling, and daily operations.
Ensure accuracy and accountability in customer records, transactions, and financial processes, including daily cash management and bank deposits.
Oversee assigned budgets.
Maintain the integrity and accessibility of library materials through effective organization, shelving, delivery processing, and withdrawal of items.
Oversee branch opening and closing procedures to ensure facility readiness and security as needed.
Troubleshoot circulation and customer service equipment to maintain consistent service operations.
Represent the branch in meetings, committees, outreach activities, and staff training to advance systemwide goals and initiatives.
Complete required administrative duties, including attending meetings, preparing and submitting reports, participating in training and workshops, and representing CCPL at regional or statewide events as assigned.
Maintain professional growth and development through participation in library teams, committees, outreach, training activities, and professional organizations.
Support and perform branch-specific services and initiatives as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned to support branch and system operations.
Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of all CCPL policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Commitment to outstanding internal and external customer service.
Ability to use clear, professional communication to tailor instructions based on individual needs and experience.
Thorough and current knowledge of information sources and search tools.
Familiarity with relevant computer equipment and software applications.
Familiarity with the Dewey Decimal Classification system and basic library organization principles.
Education and Experience

High school diploma or GED
Three years of work experience in a library environment, with a minimum of one year supervisory experience
Physical and Environmental Conditions

Work typically requires light physical effort in handling light materials, boxes, or equipment. Work may occasionally demand strenuous effort in handling moderately heavy boxes or materials. Work may require standing for extended periods and may require stooping and bending. The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts typical of offices, meeting and training rooms, and libraries; safe workplace practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations are required.
