AMZL Sr. Station Leaders are responsible for all budgetary, people development and operations objectives for an Amazon Logistics Delivery Station (DS). They lead a team of Operations, Area and Shift Managers, coaching and mentoring to ensure performance objectives are met, build positive employee relations and leadership bench strength within the DS.
Key responsibilities
Responsible for the overall safety, quality, performance, customer experience and people development for all delivery station operations
Drive the vision for the station team and create quality initiatives, process changes and lean initiatives to enable the DS to meet and exceed the business plan
Problem-solve to close gaps between performance and goals
Set and clarify requirements and expectations for Operations, Area and Shift Managers. Measure performance, provide feedback, and hold Ops Managers accountable for their performance and the performance of their departments
Manage an environment delivering Amazon orders directly to customers, operating with variable volume and complexity on a 24/7 basis
Manage day-to-day relationships with multiple Delivery Service Providers (DSPs)
Present operational metrics regularly to the senior leadership team
Hire and develop top talent. Create and implement a talent plan for the site including talent acquisition, performance and career management, learning and development, succession planning and employee engagement
Leverage the Operations, Area and Shift Managers by sourcing and nurturing ideas and translating them into improvement plans for the functional area
Cultivate a strong culture and engagement across all levels of the delivery station team
Take proactive steps to share best practices across all departments, shifts and the network
Collaborate with key business partners such as Transport & Sortation, DSP Management, Finance, Loss Prevention, IT, HR, ACES and Engineering to secure support and resources for projects and initiatives
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
7+ years’ direct management experience, including a salaried, hourly and agency workforce, in a logistics, fulfillment, last-mile manufacturing, engineering, production or distribution environment
Demonstrated track record of delivering performance and financial results in high-pressure environments
Experience with performance metrics, process improvement and lean techniques
Experience with full lifecycle staffing, including interviewing, hiring, performance management, promotions and terminations
Strong analytical capability; ability to dig into data and solve a variety of operational problems
Excellent communication skills (including local language and English, written and verbal)
Experience managing third-party resources on a regional or national scale
Experience managing contingent workforce in a business with peak seasons
Flexible to work a variety of hours as business demands, including overnight, weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a startup environment
Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
Interest in long-term career development

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
