Locations: Can be based in Seattle, WA or Portland, OR.
Major Responsibilities:
- Achieve or exceed revenue goals within an assigned geography and customer portfolio
- Expand business within existing hospital and health system accounts while identifying and developing new customer relationships
- Develop strategic account plans to drive adoption of a comprehensive portfolio of advanced molecular and genetic testing solutions
- Deliver compelling clinical and business presentations to physicians, genetic counselors, laboratory leadership, and other healthcare stakeholders
- Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts through consultative selling, education, and cross-selling of additional testing solutions
- Maintain a deep understanding of the competitive landscape, clinical environment, customer needs, and market trends within the territory
- Partner cross-functionally with internal clinical, scientific, market access, and commercial teams to identify, develop, and close new business opportunities
- Build relationships within NICU, PICU, pediatric genetics, maternal-fetal medicine, and other pediatric specialty environments
- Educate customers on the clinical utility and value of advanced genomic testing solutions
- Analyze territory performance and market data to identify growth opportunities and competitive threats
- Travel throughout the assigned territory to meet with customers, attend conferences, sales meetings, and training events
Qualifications:
Required
- Experience selling molecular diagnostics, genomics, NGS, or other complex diagnostic solutions
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biology, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- Five or more years of successful customer-facing sales experience in diagnostics, biotechnology, medical device, healthcare, or a related clinical field
- Demonstrated history of exceeding sales objectives and managing complex sales cycles
- Experience using CRM platforms (Salesforce or equivalent) and Microsoft Office
Preferred
- Experience selling into hospitals, integrated delivery networks, or academic medical centers
- Existing relationships with pediatric specialists, neonatologists, genetic counselors, laboratory leadership, or clinicians within pediatric genetics
- Proven success in molecular diagnostics, genetic testing, precision medicine, or life sciences
- Strong understanding of the NICU, PICU, pediatric genetics, or rare disease landscape
- Experience utilizing consultative sales methodologies such as Challenger, SPIN, or similar approaches
- Excellent communication, presentation, analytical, and relationship-building skills
Compensation
- Approx. $250k+
- Base, uncapped commissions, bonus, etc.
