Contractor RFP: Virginia Environmental Lobbyist

Overview

Nature Forward is seeking proposals from experienced Virginia environmental lobbyists with a specialty in conservation and renewable energy to lead state lobbying on behalf of Nature Forward. This contracted role will provide comprehensive state government affairs and lobbying services that advance policies that promote conservation, data center reform, and clean and renewable energy policies. This role will provide deep legislative knowledge, broad energy expertise, established relationships with elected officials, and extensive experience navigating Virginia’s General Assembly.
Responsibilities

Lead state lobbying efforts in Virginia on conservation, data center reform, and clean and renewable energy policies on behalf of Nature Forward.
Provide comprehensive state government affairs and lobbying services to advance the policies described above.
Utilize deep legislative knowledge, broad energy expertise, and established relationships with elected officials to navigate Virginia’s General Assembly.
Qualifications

Experience as a Virginia environmental lobbyist with a specialty in conservation and renewable energy.
Strong knowledge of Virginia’s General Assembly and state government processes.
Established relationships with elected officials and stakeholders in Virginia.
