Job Overview
The Program Manager (Continuing Education) provides leadership and oversight for accredited continuing education programs and conferences serving healthcare professionals throughout the service area. The position is responsible for program planning, implementation, evaluation, accreditation compliance, financial management, and staff supervision. The Program Manager develops and maintains strategic partnerships, supports workforce development initiatives, and ensures high-quality educational activities that align with organizational goals and community needs. Location: CorpusChristi, Texas. Salary:$5,833.34per month. Full‑time; may require work beyond regular hours and weekends.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, implement, and evaluate accredited continuing education programs and activities for healthcare professionals.
Manage all phases of educational activity planning, including needs assessment, learning objectives, faculty and speaker coordination, educational materials, distance‑learning activities, and post‑activity evaluation.
Oversee conference and event operations—registration, venue coordination, signage, catering, audiovisual services, exhibitor support, event set‑up and breakdown, and virtual learning platforms.
Coordinate live, hybrid, and virtual educational activities, including webinar technology, participant support, and collaboration with audiovisual and technology personnel.
Provide leadership for developing and implementing programs that address identified workforce and professional development needs.
Coordinate activities of the Continuing Education Advisory Committee—meeting planning, agenda development, documentation, and follow‑up.
Travel as necessary to support educational programs, conferences, and related activities.
Supervise continuing education coordinators and support staff, assigning and monitoring work, establishing priorities, providing training, guidance, and evaluating performance.
Provide operational leadership and oversight to ensure successful implementation of programs, conferences, and related services.
Develop and implement procedures, workflows, and quality‑improvement efforts to support program effectiveness and efficiency.
Monitor operational performance and recommend improvements to enhance service delivery and participant experience.
Maintain accreditation documentation, attendance records, participant credit records, and required program reports.
Ensure compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and institutional requirements.
Oversee data collection, outcomes measurement, learner evaluation analysis, and reporting activities.
Prepare accreditation submissions, supporting documentation, and reports required by accrediting organizations and institutional leadership.
Maintain records retention and documentation processes for continuing education activities.
Assist with securing grants, sponsorships, exhibitor support, and other resources to support program growth and sustainability.
Assist with budget development and monitor contracts, invoices, purchase requests, and financial reconciliation processes.
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with faculty, advisory committee members, healthcare organizations, vendors, sponsors, exhibitors, and community partners.
Collaborate with marketing and communications personnel to develop promotional and outreach strategies that support continuing education initiatives.
Represent the organization at professional meetings, conferences, and stakeholder events to advance continuing education programs and partnerships.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years of related experience.
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in a health‑care, biomedical sciences, or related field.
Experience in curriculum planning, continuing education administration, online course systems, and administration of web‑based learning.
Five years or more of management experience.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to analyze data.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Excel, website management, and social media.
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations.
Security‑sensitive position; subject to criminal background check.
Ability to work with diverse, low‑income populations.
Critical‑thinking skills, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Familiar with medical terminology.
Ability to perform all tasks safely, complying with A&M System and HSC guidelines.
Verifiable good driving record and reliable transportation.
