Position Overview
This is a part‑time (less than 20 hours per week), in‑office position located at 3500 Martin Luther King Ave, Oklahoma City. The role requires working Monday through Friday with flexibility for working hours and involves daily responsibilities in communications and marketing for the OTA.

Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $26.24 per hour.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Social Media coordination: Assist in updating OTA’s social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.) by scheduling posts, responding to messages, and interacting with followers.

Content Creation: Create engaging content, including graphics, videos, and written posts for social media and other digital platforms that align with our brand voice, as well as presentations and other written communication such as media advisories, press releases, traffic advisories, and talking points.

Campaign Support: Assist in the development and execution of marketing and public education campaigns and promotions to increase engagement.

Analytics Tracking: Monitor and analyze the performance of social media content and marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.

Market Research: Conduct research on industry trends and social media strategies to help shape marketing initiatives.

Collaboration: Work closely with the PR and marketing team to brainstorm new ideas and strategies that increase brand awareness, customer engagement, and public education.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large portion of the workday.

The noise level in the work environment is usually mild.

This role may assist with on‑site event coordination at construction sites.

Minimum Qualifications

Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field with at least two years of college credits and/or two years’ experience in project management or a related business field.

At least one year of experience in digital marketing and/or social media, preferably within the transportation industry.

Excellent communication and writing skills.

Knowledge of social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite).

Experience with social media analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Hootsuite) is a plus.

Creative, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.

Preferred Requirements, Special Skills or Knowledge
Knowledge of English usage, grammar and composition; public relations principles and techniques; accepted styles for materials released to media; media sources and their capabilities; visual graphics and video techniques; agency objectives; editing techniques; graphic terminology; training principles and practices. Ability to write and edit; gather and organize data; uphold public relations principles and ethics; deliver informational presentations; establish and maintain effective working relationships; and communicate effectively orally and in writing.
