Join our team at the Iron Horse Hotel Milwaukee as a Senior Sales Manager. The Hotel Senior Sales Manager drives the property’s total revenue by securing lucrative group, corporate, and event bookings. They target high-value accounts, execute proactive sales strategies, manage complex contracts, and collaborate with operations and revenue management to maximize overall occupancy and profitability. Responsibilities:

Proactive Account Generation:

Solicit and close group, corporate, and event business through cold calling, networking, site tours, and client entertainment.

Contract & Rate Negotiation:

Drive annual Request for Proposal (RFP) negotiations and close complex, high-value contracts while protecting hotel profitability.

Market Analysis:

Monitor local competitors, economic trends, and shifts in supply and demand to adjust sales tactics.

Team Leadership & Training:

Support the Director of Sales by mentoring junior sales managers, coordinating with catering and banquet staff, and leading sales meetings.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

Partner with Revenue Management and Event Operations teams to ensure seamless execution of client expectations. Qualifications:

Education:

A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or Hospitality Management, or related work experience.

Experience:

Requires 3 to 5 years of progressive hotel sales experience in a hotel.

System Proficiency:

Familiarity with hotel-specific software like Delphi, Cvent, and Brand/CRM platforms.

Key Skills:

Elite negotiation, account saturation, public speaking, and strategic relationship management.
