About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President (Shelter Director) to lead the operations of its family shelter, which provides a supportive and therapeutic environment for homeless families. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all staff comply with the organization's and funders' policies and standards, overseeing program operations, and managing a team to deliver quality services to clients. This role involves direct supervision, staff training, and development, as well as maintaining regulatory compliance and meeting performance outcomes. The Vice President will also be involved in crisis intervention, and staff performance management, and will serve as a liaison with community leaders to enhance support for the shelter.

Applicants for the Vice President (Shelter Director) position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in a relevant field, with a focus on social work, mental health counseling, or related disciplines. A minimum of 3 years' of supervisory experience in a similar role is required, preferably in a mid-sized organization. The role demands a candidate with strong leadership skills, the ability to manage a diverse team, and a commitment to the mission of providing essential services to vulnerable populations. The ideal candidate will be adept at problem-solving, have a proactive approach to service delivery, and be capable of handling the demands of a 24/7 on-call position. Bi-lingual proficiency is preferred, and the candidate must be prepared to meet the organization's and funders' requirements for certification in areas such as First Aid/CPR and overdose prevention.
