LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a corporate communications specialist with 3 or more years of experience for a contract opportunity for a non profit organization in Washington DC. This role is hybrid 2 days in office 3 days work from home. This is a great contract role that offers the opportunity to work with a results-oriented and dedicated team.
Responsibilities:
Create, edit, and manage internal communications content, including organizational announcements, intranet articles, employee resources, presentations, and leadership messaging.
Contribute to the ongoing improvement of crisis communications content, incident response tools, and preparedness initiatives.
Write and refine employee spotlight features, articles, and thought leadership content that promote the client’s culture and employer brand.
Partner with stakeholders across the organization to drive effective communication programs and support strategic business initiatives.
Lead multiple communication efforts concurrently, balancing competing priorities while ensuring excellence in execution and timely completion.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or a related field.
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, PowerPoint, Asana, and related collaboration tools.
Demonstrated expertise in writing, editing, and content development, with a talent for customizing messaging across multiple communication channels.
Understanding of internal communications, employer brand strategy, corporate reputation, and crisis communication principles.
Strong project coordination and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize multiple initiatives and meet key deadlines.
Experience:
3+ years of corporate communications, employee communications, employer branding, public relations, marketing communications, or related fields.
Employment Type:
12 month contract
Compensation:
$40.00-45.00 per hour
