Motion Designer (M/W/D) With Focus On Performance Marketing
Ein kleines Stück Papier mit Zahlen, die das Potenzial haben, ein Leben für immer zu verändern! Ok…ersetzen wir das Papier durch eine App und eine Person gegen 600.000+ Nutzer monatlich. This is our Business!
Your Mission
As a Motion Designer (M/W/D) with a focus on performance marketing, it is your mission to efficiently produce a high number of platform-appropriate ad creatives – with motion editing as your central craft. In close collaboration with our user acquisition team, you will develop, test, and optimize A/B variants for paid social (Meta, TikTok), YouTube, as well as emerging platforms and support organic social formats where synergies arise.
With the further growth of Lotto Scanner and increasing paid budgets, you will take on a key role in expanding our creative production capacities as well as in systematizing our output processes. Your work will significantly contribute to increasing our testing speed – so that we can learn faster, iterate more efficiently, and achieve measurable improvements in our customer acquisition costs (CAC) through successful creatives.
Your Tasks
Daily production of creatives for paid channels – motion ads, static variants, as well as platform-appropriate vertical content
Motion editing in Premiere, After Effects, and CapCut – hooks, cuttedowns, motion graphics, captions, and sound design
Designing static ads – for Meta, Google Display, as well as in-app variants in Figma or Photoshop
Use of AI tools to increase efficiency and output
Scaled production of A/B variants – fast creation of 5–10 variants of successful creatives (e.g., different hooks, formats, lengths, and aspect ratios)
Close collaboration with the user acquisition team – understanding of test hypotheses, development of visual and motion-based concepts, and implementation
Performance feedback loops – analysis of results together with the UA team and transfer of learnings into new creative batches
Support of other teams – occasional participation in organic social and brand campaigns where content overlaps
Building of templates and systems – development of motion presets, hook libraries, and scalable, brand-compliant creative frameworks
Ensuring compliance – working within the regulatory requirements for lotteries (particularly in accordance with GlüStV) in the paid marketing context
Your Competencies
Must-have:
3–5 years of practical experience in creative production for performance marketing – ideally in a growth team, a performance creative studio, or a growth-oriented agency
Proven expertise in motion editing – confident use of Premiere, After Effects, and CapCut at a production level; experience with audio editing, motion graphics, captioning, and sound design
Strong skills in static design with Figma as well as the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)
Proven ability to deliver quickly and efficiently – your portfolio shows not only quality but also volume
Deep understanding of platform-specific formats – Meta reels and stories, TikTok-optimized vertical content, YouTube shorts, in-feed statics, as well as out-of-home variants
Comfortable with performance metrics (e.g., CTR, hook rate, completion rate, CVR) and their use in data-driven optimization of creatives
Experience with AI-based creative tools (e.g., Higgsfield, Runway, Midjourney, ElevenLabs) to accelerate production processes
Very good English skills; German language skills are advantageous
Nice-to-have:
Experience in scaling a consumer app brand through performance creatives
Know-how in sound design, music selection, and the use of licensed audio sources
Basic knowledge of Blender or Cinema 4D for high-quality motion implementations
Experience in regulated industries (e.g., lottery, fintech, gambling, or gaming)
Familiarity with creative testing methodologies
Basic photography skills for occasional static or video shootings
Softskills
Speed before perfection – focuses on many good variants rather than on a single perfect asset
Iterative mindset – understands creatives as continuous tests rather than as finished end products
Data-driven – uses KPIs like CTR, hook rate, and completion rate as a basis for creative decisions
Proactive and independent – develops a first, goal-oriented implementation quickly from short briefings
Collaborative across teams – close cooperation with UA, Social, Brand, Motion, and Marketing
Comfortable with brand guidelines – uses creative leeway within clear CI guidelines
Feels good in the dynamic scaleup environment – fast, flexible, with changing priorities
Shares knowledge actively – shares learnings, templates, and assets in the team
Your Goals In This Role (Impact)
Tripling our creative output for paid channels – from the current status to a clearly defined monthly target for produced variants (jointly set in the first month)
Reduction of time-to-asset – establishment of clear SLAs for standard ad variants (e.g., 48–72 hours) and reliable adherence
Measurable increase in CTR, hook rate, and conversion rate through structured creative testing with the UA team – close intertwining of performance data and iterations
Building a scalable creative system – templates, motion presets, hook libraries, and brand assets, so that 80% of standard variants can be efficiently produced in accordance with CI
Ownership for platform-native formats – reels, TikTok-vertical, YouTube shorts, stories – first point of contact for what works where
Support of marketing content production – e.g., race-weekend content, social posts, or recap reels in collaboration with the team as needed
