Flat rate:
$2,000 USD
($500/week) for the Edinburgh Fringe performance run.
2-3 rehearsals in New York City are paid separately
from the performance contract.
Housing provided:
Private bedroom in shared festival accommodations. Bathroom and common areas are shared.

About the Position
We are seeking an experienced
Stage Manager
to join our production for the
Edinburgh Fringe Festival , the world's largest performing arts festival.
This is a rush hire.
Edinburgh is an extremely fast-paced, high-energy festival environment, and we are looking for someone who is calm under pressure, highly organized, proactive, and an excellent communicator. You will be supporting an award-winning
55-minute solo show
and working closely with both the performer and venue technical staff throughout the festival.
Required Qualifications
The following qualifications are required:
Strong working knowledge of
QLab
Experience operating lighting cues
Experience working directly with venue technicians
Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and independently
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced festival environment
Valid passport and ability to travel internationally
Touring or festival experience is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
Attend
2-3 paid rehearsals
in New York City prior to departure.
Maintain production notes, cue sheets, run sheets, and show paperwork.
Operate all QLab sound and lighting cues during performances.
Coordinate directly with venue technicians during load-in, technical rehearsals, performances, and strike.
Program the show's lighting with the venue technician during an approximately
two-hour technical session
before the first performance. The successful candidate must be comfortable working efficiently within this limited programming window.
Execute a
15-minute load-in , run the
55-minute performance , and complete a
15-minute load-out
after each show.
Support backstage operations and help ensure a smooth and consistent performance throughout the festival.
Collaborate closely with the performer and production team while adapting to the unique demands of the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
About the Production
This is an
independent, grassroots production . We are seeking someone who enjoys being part of a collaborative team and understands that, in a festival environment, everyone contributes to the success of the production. While the Stage Manager's primary responsibilities are outlined above, flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to assist beyond traditional role boundaries when needed are essential.
