Help Cougs 4 Kids turn approved footage, interviews, animation, and program content into clear, accessible videos for underserved youth, families, students, alumni, volunteers, donors, and partners.
We are seeking a volunteer Video Editor to produce polished content for web, YouTube, presentations, email, workshops, fundraising, and social media.
Responsibilities:
Edit interviews, explainers, activities, testimonials, training, and campaign content
Shape clear stories through pacing, sequencing, music, graphics, captions, and sound
Create platform-ready aspect ratios, lengths, resolutions, thumbnails, and exports
Perform color correction, audio cleanup, basic motion graphics, and file organization
Add accurate captions, transcripts, lower thirds, credits, and accessible visual treatments
Follow approved scripts, releases, privacy, safeguarding, copyright, and brand standards
Incorporate structured feedback and meet project deadlines
Maintain editable project files and organized final assets
Qualifications:
Portfolio demonstrating video editing and visual storytelling
Proficiency with Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or comparable tools
Strong pacing, audio, color, typography, file-management, and collaboration skills
Willingness to complete background screening for access to youth-related footage
Sports, education, alumni, accessibility, or short-form social experience is helpful
This is a remote, recurring project-based role available within the United States. Expect approximately 3–8 hours per month.
