Position Summary
The Audio Visual Technician is responsible for installing commercial audio, video, lighting, and control systems. This position includes installing electronic equipment, pulling cable, terminating wiring, mounting equipment, and assisting with system commissioning while maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and safety.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and works well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

Install commercial audio, video, and control systems

Pull, route, label, and terminate low-voltage cable, including Cat6, fiber optic, speaker wire, and control cable

Install equipment racks, displays, projectors, speakers, cameras, microphones, and related hardware

Assist with system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning

Operate test equipment to verify proper system operation

Read and interpret construction drawings and wiring diagrams

Maintain accurate time sheets, service reports, and inventory records

Meet installation schedules and project deadlines

Operate power tools and installation equipment safely

Follow all company and customer safety policies

Maintain a clean, organized, and professional job site

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications Required

Minimum 1 year of commercial audio/video installation experience

Experience pulling and terminating low-voltage cabling

Basic understanding of AV systems and signal flow

Ability to use power tools and common hand tools

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to detail

Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders or lifts

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Reliable transportation to our Gainesville office

Must provide basic personal hand tools

Preferred

Experience with:

Video conferencing systems

Projectors and projection systems

Commercial lighting systems

Network-based AV systems

Fiber optic termination

CTS or other AV industry certifications

OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification

Experience with rack building and cable management

Full-time

Monday–Friday

8‑hour shifts

Occasional overtime as needed

Travel

Up to 50% travel for project installations (primarily within Georgia and surrounding states)

Location
Gainesville, GA

Applicants must be able to reliably commute to Gainesville or relocate before their start date.
