Position Summary
Help UDRI and the Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office translate complex sustainment work into clear, compelling content that communicates mission value and impact. We invite qualified applicants to apply for our Content and Technical Writer opening today! This position works alongside the Air Force Rapid Sustainment Office (RSO) to translate complex technical work into clear, accurate, and compelling written content for internal Department of War (DoW)/Air Force leadership, partners, and external audiences, directly supporting the RSO Communications Plan objectives to increase awareness and promote understanding of the value and impact of RSO initiatives. The position may support additional UDRI customers and initiatives as needed. Working closely with the Impact Analyst, RSO program managers, subject matter experts, the strategic communications team, and the graphic designer, the Content and Technical Writer turns identified outcomes and value into audience-ready articles, briefings, one-pagers, reports, success stories, and leadership updates that reinforce RSO key messages—including the RSO mission, value proposition, and results in increased readiness, reduced costs, and improved sustainment capabilities. This position is co-located with the customer at the Hangar 01 facility. The writer tailors messaging and tone for diverse audiences, ensures all products align with the RSO Brand Guide and established key messages, and coordinates external communications with Air Force Public Affairs (AFLCMC/PA). This is a content- and communication-focused writing role centered on framing mission value and impact rather than producing system-of-record technical manuals or engineering documentation.
