Hi, we're glad you're here! We are hiring to our Aviva Services Excellence Centre! Take a look at our job description - maybe it suits you or one of your friends?
Are you an experienced Programme Manager who enjoys bringing structure, pace and clarity to complex transformation? We are looking for a proactive and collaborative Programme Manager to support the delivery of the Data & Modelling Controls programme within IWR Finance.
This is a high-impact transformation focused on strengthening the way data and modelling controls are designed, implemented and embedded across Finance processes. The programme covers the data journey from policy administration systems, through cleansing and validation, to IT and Finance hand-offs, with the aim of improving consistency, governance and control effectiveness.
You will work with Finance, Technology, Risk, Audit, Controls and business teams to help define the target control environment, identify gaps, coordinate remediation and support improved ways of working. The role would suit someone who can operate well in complexity, build strong stakeholder relationships and bring practical delivery discipline without over-engineering the approach.
A bit about the job:

In this role, you'll lead a large multi-year transformation programme focused on strengthening data and modelling controls across complex end-to-end Finance processes. Working closely with Finance, Technology, Risk, Data and business teams, you’ll help improve control effectiveness, simplify delivery and support better business outcomes. You’ll bring structure, pace and clarity to programme delivery, while encouraging collaboration and identifying opportunities to use AI, automation and improved ways of working where they add value.
What will you be doing?

Managing delivery planning, governance, risks, issues, dependencies and reporting for the Data & Modelling Controls programme

Supporting the definition and implementation of a scalable control environment for data and modelling across IWR Finance processes

Coordinating activity across multiple policy administration systems, recognizing that different systems may have different processes, data structures and control maturity

Supporting gap analysis and remediation planning, ensuring actions are prioritized, tracked and progressed effectively

Defining and implementing a proportionate control framework across data, transformation and modelling activities

Identifying practical opportunities to improve controls, simplify processes and use automation or AI where this creates clear value

Leveraging AI and automation to accelerate discovery, validation, control monitoring and assurance activities

Designing a scalable target-state operating model capable of supporting multiple PAS platforms, business lines and reserving processes

Embedding sustainable governance and assurance processes into BAU

Working closely with Finance, Technology, Risk, Audit, Controls and business teams to align priorities, manage dependencies and resolve delivery challenges

Helping shape the programme team structure and ways of working as the programme develops

Preparing clear programme updates and stakeholder communications for governance forums and senior stakeholders

Applying suitable delivery discipline across Agile, Waterfall or hybrid approaches, depending on programme needs

Contributing to a collaborative delivery environment focused on transparency, accountability and measurable business outcomes.

What we’re looking for?

Experience ideally within data, modelling, controls, AI or transformation programmes

Proven ability to manage complex multifunctional programmes, including scope, plans, resources, risks, dependencies and stakeholder communications

Comfortable working with both Agile and Waterfall delivery approaches, with the judgement to apply the right level of governance and structure

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build alignment across teams, functions and influence at different levels

Structured, pragmatic and outcome-focused approach

Combining program leadership with hands-on ownership of key activities

Ability to work in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.

Curious, improvement-minded attitude and willingness to learn the business context.

Helpful but not essential:

Experience in financial services, insurance, Finance change or risk/control environments

Curiosity and practical experience in using AI, automation or process improvement to increase efficiency and strengthen controls

Experience with data migration, data remediation, data governance or control improvement initiatives

Experience shaping project or programme ways of working, team routines or governance frameworks

Previous exposure to senior stakeholder forums or cross-border delivery environments.

Professional qualifications such as Prince2, APM or PMI are desirable
