Associate Designer - Women's Ready-to-Wear (Off-Price)
We are seeking a talented, highly motivated Associate Designer to join our Women's Ready-to-Wear Design team.
The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience designing specifically for the off-price market, with experience working with retailers such as Ross Stores, Burlington, TJ Maxx/Marshalls, or similar value-focused accounts.
We are looking for a collaborative, proactive designer with a strong commercial eye, excellent taste, and the ability to translate fashion trends into compelling product for the off-price customer. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working closely with cross-functional teams from concept through production.
Responsibilities

Assist the Creative Director in designing commercially successful women's ready-to-wear collections for the off-price market.
Research fashion trends, color, print, fabric, and silhouette direction appropriate for Ross, Burlington, and similar retailers.
Develop seasonal concepts, CADs, flats, and presentation boards.
Create detailed technical flats and artwork using Adobe Illustrator.
Prepare tech packs and communicate design intent with overseas factories.
Attend fittings and update fit comments as needed.
Partner closely with merchandising, sales, production, and product development throughout the design process.
Shop the market regularly to identify trends, competitive opportunities, and emerging ideas.
Maintain organized development files, seasonal line plans, and sample tracking.
Support multiple seasonal calendars while managing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications

2-3 years of women's apparel design experience with a strong emphasis on the off-price market.
Experience designing for Ross Stores, Burlington, TJ Maxx/Marshalls, or similar value retailers is required.
Strong understanding of commercial product development, value engineering, and trend interpretation.
Excellent Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office skills.
Strong knowledge of garment construction, fit, fabric development, and print techniques.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Passion for women's fashion with exceptional attention to detail and a strong commercial design sensibility.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience working directly with overseas factories and vendors.
Experience across multiple women's sportswear categories.
Understanding of costing, fabric development, and product commercialization.
Ability to identify market opportunities and translate trends into commercially successful product for the off-price customer.
Salary: $85,000 - $105,000 per year
