Senior Accountant @ Sports Media Company

I'm currently recruiting for a rapidly expanding entertainment company that is seeking to hire a Senior Accountant with offices located in New York, NY. The team is building out a sports media entity that showcases some of the best and brightest talent across the NBA, NFL, etc. The team is seeking a Senior Accountant who will be responsible for assisting with the month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and assisting with special projects. This is a fantastic company that has big plans in 2027 and beyond.
Responsibilities:
Assist with the month-end close, overseeing all items on the balance sheet and income statement
Assist with the preparation of the monthly financial statements
Manage the GL, performing reconciliations and adjusting journal entries
Review AP and T&E activity
Review AR entries and contracts, ensuring compliance with ASC 606
Assist with any process improvements across the group
Create new workflows and processes through NetSuite to optimize efficiencies
Assist with the annual audit and provide all supporting documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in accounting/finance
NetSuite and ASC 606 experience is highly desired
