Pay Scale

– Base hourly compensation of $18.70. Commission compensation based on the value or amount of closed sales achieved, with no upper limit. Production bonus may range from $0.00 when baseline benchmarks are not met, also without a fixed upper limit.

Location : 100% on site at Lexus of Stevens Creek in San Jose, CA.

The Role
Sales Consultant – the objective is to effectively assist customers in finding the right vehicle, build lasting relationships, and achieve or exceed sales targets while providing exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

Guide guests through introduction of brand and vehicle, highlighting features and benefits that match lifestyle and individual needs.

Greet customers, understand their needs and preferences, and provide expert advice.

Possess a strong understanding of different vehicle models, features, and specifications.

Demonstrate vehicles, arrange test drives, and guide customers through the sales process.

Negotiate prices and finalize sales contracts, including trade‑in values and financing options.

Overcome objections, ask for sales, and complete sales and purchasing contracts.

Provide excellent guest service and build rapport with clients to foster repeat business.

Utilize all appropriate CRM software to maintain records of sales activities and provide management with sales data.

Keep up‑to‑date on new vehicle models, features, and industry trends.

Present financial and other information upfront and transparently.

Attain monthly sales quotas as designated by company expectations and standards.

Deliver an exciting and engaging experience for guests.

Maintain high ethical standards in all actions.

Required Skills & Abilities

Strong communication skills – excellent verbal and written communication are essential for interacting with customers and negotiating sales.

Sales skills – proven ability to build rapport, identify customer needs, and close sales.

Negotiation skills – ability to negotiate prices and terms of sale effectively.

Customer service skills – ability to provide excellent customer service and resolve issues.

Product knowledge – thorough understanding of vehicles and their features.

Time management – ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.

Computer skills – proficiency in using CRM software and other relevant computer applications.

Culture – strong ability to work in a team environment.

Exceptional attention to detail.

Flexibility – ability to work flexible hours to include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Sales experience preferred.

Education / Licenses

High school diploma or equivalent.

Must have or be able to obtain a valid Occupational Sales License and a California Driver’s License while maintaining an acceptable, safe driving record.

Physical Demands

Frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and talk or hear.

Able to withstand outdoor weather.

Stand for long periods at a time.

Use hands and fingers in repetitive motions, daily.

Frequently bend, stretch, twist, or reach with the body, arms, and/or legs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work outdoors in all weather conditions including low and high temperatures, precipitation and wind, noisy environments.

Adjust, move, and lift objects up to 20 pounds.

Move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces.

Remain in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.

Operate motor vehicles.

Ascend or descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and ramps.
