Job Description
Independently writes, edits, and proof reads articles for print and online publications. Identify topics that highlight the latest focus areas. Analyze, select and organize the information for presentation.
Ensure that publications conform to organizational and government policies, practices and style guidelines. Conducts thorough quality assurance (QA) checks; follow established goals, deadlines and production schedules.
Create, research and review articles to ensure that the information is accurate, complete and sufficiently detailed to prevent publication errors or improper information.
Develop content using a variety of multimedia formats including photography and video. Use desktop publishing hardware and software to draft, edit and layout the material and sometimes to design, print and distribute it.
Consult on layout and design with graphic artists and other writers-editors as applicable. Independently or in a group setting, manage publishing projects from conception to printing and distribution.
