Description

Our client, the U.S.'s largest commercial real estate services firm, is seeking

an Interaction Designer / UI Engineer

to support a global commercial real estate organization. This

1-year remote contract

is ideal for an experienced front-end engineer with a strong interaction design background who enjoys creating modern, scalable digital experiences. Working within a global B2B marketing organization, this individual will help revamp CBRE's global website and country sites by designing and building high-quality user interfaces, contributing to a scalable design system, and partnering with engineers to deliver production-ready web experiences.

Responsibilities
Design and develop high-quality, responsive user experiences for CBRE's global website and digital platforms.
Translate UX specifications, content, and creative direction into polished UI designs and production-ready front-end code.
Contribute to and enhance the organization's design system by creating reusable components, documentation, and design standards.
Build scalable, component-based front-end solutions using React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Create prototypes, wireframes, and interaction designs using Figma and emerging AI-assisted design tools.
Partner with engineers to integrate front-end components with production back-end systems.
Manage and publish content through a headless Sitecore CMS while supporting real-world publishing needs.
Participate in design critiques and collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve user experiences.
Ensure all interfaces meet UX best practices, WCAG accessibility standards, usability principles, and atomic component architecture guidelines.
Utilize AI-assisted coding tools while maintaining a strong commitment to code quality, testing, and self-review.
Support data visualization initiatives using modern visualization libraries and component-based architecture.
Must Have Qualifications

5+ years of hybrid UI design and front-end engineering experience supporting consumer-grade web experiences.
Strong proficiency with React, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern front-end frameworks.
Advanced experience creating and scaling design systems using Figma.
Strong understanding of UX principles, interaction design, usability, accessibility (WCAG), and component-based architecture.
Experience building reusable components using design tokens, Storybook, or similar documentation tools.
Experience working with headless CMS platforms such as Sitecore.
Experience with emerging AI design tools and AI-assisted coding workflows.
Strong visual design, interaction design, and motion/animation skills.
Experience creating data visualizations using D3.js, Recharts, or similar libraries.
Experience working within established brand guidelines while delivering scalable design solutions.
Excellent presentation and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Nice to Have Qualifications

Experience with additional modern front-end frameworks.
Experience working with enterprise CMS platforms.
B2B digital marketing experience.
Experience supporting large-scale website redesigns or global web platforms.
Familiarity with property listing platforms or commercial real estate digital experiences.
