Utility BESS Sales Manager – DACH Region
Responsible for the sales, customer development, and market expansion of the company’s utility-scale energy storage products across the DACH region, including Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the DACH power markets, grid regulations, energy storage business models, and energy project development processes to identify, develop, and advance utility-scale BESS opportunities.
Maintain and expand relationships with key customers and partners in the region, including project developers, EPCs, utilities, independent power producers, investors, and other industry stakeholders.
Build and manage the regional sales pipeline, follow up on key projects, and drive opportunities from initial identification and technical discussions through solution development and contract signing.
Lead commercial negotiations, tendering, quotation preparation, contract negotiations, and contract signing processes.
Collaborate closely with headquarters and European solution, technical, project delivery, legal, and finance teams to develop competitive energy storage solutions and commercial strategies for customers.
Develop and execute the DACH regional sales strategy and achieve annual sales, order intake, and payment collection targets.
Monitor competitors, industry policies, market pricing, and technology trends, and provide regional market analysis, sales forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
Support customer communication, internal coordination, contract fulfilment, and after-sales relationship management during project implementation.
Represent the company at industry exhibitions, technical conferences, customer events, and partner meetings across the DACH region to strengthen brand awareness and market presence.
Bachelor’s degree or above, preferably in Electrical Engineering, Energy, Engineering Management, International Trade, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum 3 years of sales or business development experience in utility-scale BESS, renewable energy, power equipment, or a related industry.
Proven experience in the development and tendering of utility-scale BESS projects, with successful experience in project contract signing and delivery.
Proven customer resources, industry networks, or partner relationships in Germany, Austria, or Switzerland.
Familiar with DACH energy policies, power market mechanisms, grid connection requirements, energy storage revenue models, and project development processes.
Capable of independently managing commercial negotiations, tenders, quotations, and contract negotiations, with strong judgment regarding project risks, costs, and commercial terms.
Fluent in English, with strong business communication, negotiation, and cross-cultural collaboration skills.
German proficiency at a professional working level is required. French or other European language skills are an advantage.
Strong market development capabilities, customer orientation, result-driven mindset, and ability to work independently.
Willing and able to travel frequently within the DACH region and across Europe.
Experience working with Chinese companies, multinational organizations, or cross-cultural teams is preferred. Chinese language ability is an advantage.
Germany, preferably Frankfurt, Munich, Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf, or another well-connected major city. Remote working arrangements may be considered based on business needs.
