Specialist-Internal Communications, AACU Employee Communications And EngagementThis job is within the American Airlines Credit Union. This role develops and executes strategic internal communications that inform and engage Credit Union team members while fostering connection, understanding and a shared sense of purpose. The role is also responsible for creating clear, compelling storytelling across multiple channels, including the intranet, email, digital signage, presentations and visual communications. In addition, this role partners with leaders and business teams to translate priorities, initiatives and organizational changes into timely, relevant and easy-to-understand communications.What you'll do:Strategic Communications: Develop and execute communication strategies, plans and campaigns that support organizational goals and team member engagement, determining the appropriate message, audience, timing, channel and format for key initiatives, announcements and organizational changesPartner with leaders and subject matter experts to provide communications counsel, shape messaging and develop materials such as talking points, presentations, FAQs, toolkits and announcements that are relevant, accurate and consistentTranslate complex business, operational and technology topics into clear, actionable communications tailored to target audiencesContent Development: Create, edit and publish content across internal communication channels, including the intranet, email, digital signage, presentations and other digital and visual platformsDevelop compelling stories and messaging that support strategic initiatives, culture, change management, recognition milestones and team member engagementMaintain editorial calendars and ensure a consistent voice, tone and brand across all communicationsCreate visually engaging, brand-aligned communication materials that enhance understanding and engagementExplore and implement new channels, formats and multimedia opportunities to improve reach and effectivenessEngagement and Collaboration: Manage communication projects and campaigns that strengthen culture, support organizational priorities and drive awarenessFoster two-way communication by creating opportunities for team member feedback, engagement and collaborationMonitor communication effectiveness through feedback, metrics and channel performance data, and recommend improvementsBuild strong relationships across the organization to support effective communication planning and executionEvent Communication and Facilitation: Support the promotion, communication and execution of team member events, recognition programs and engagement activitiesProvide event communications and coordination support as needed to help deliver a positive team member experiencePlus additional duties as assignedThe selected candidate will be responsible for ensuring the security and confidentiality of all account and related information which is part of their work and for ensuring that his/her work is in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act.All you'll need for success:Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or Journalism, or equivalent relevant experienceExperience developing branded graphics and visual communications using Adobe Creative Suite or CanvaPreferred Qualifications:Two or more years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, public relations or a related fieldStrong writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging team member communicationsPrevious Credit Union or financial services industry experienceSkills, Licenses & Certifications:Skilled in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) gained through either work experience with the software or education and hands-on use of the softwareOutstanding written communications skills, both creative and technicalStrong people skills, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with all levels of staff and managementAbility to successfully manage multiple assignments and competing deadlinesAbility to demonstrate solid project management skillsAbility to perform with immaculate attention to detailAbility to adjust work schedule and work additional hours as needed to support business needsAbility to maintain satisfactory performance and attendanceAbility to pass applicable American Airlines and Credit Union pre-hire compliance checksWhat you'll get:Feel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
