Our client is seeking a talented

Senior Childrenswear Designer

to join their growing design team in

New Jersey . This role will be responsible for developing trend-right children’s apparel collections from concept through production, working closely with merchandising, sales, sourcing, product development, and overseas factories.
Responsibilities

Design seasonal childrenswear collections across baby and kids’ categories.
Research trends, colors, fabrics, prints, graphics, and silhouettes.
Create CADs, sketches, colorways, prints, and graphic artwork.
Develop commercially relevant product based on market trends and business needs.
Collaborate with Merchandising, Sales, Sourcing, and Product Development teams.
Select fabrics, trims, colors, and materials while considering quality and target costs.
Create and maintain tech packs and detailed product specifications.
Review samples and provide detailed design comments and revisions.
Communicate with overseas vendors and factories throughout the development process.
Manage multiple styles, projects, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Ensure products meet design, quality, cost, and production requirements.
