Foundation Uses Kids to Make Pols Feel Dumb

The Peter G. Peterson Foundation (PGPF) will air a series of informational ads as part of its broadcast sponsorship of the October 11 Bloomberg/WaPo GOP Presidential Debate. The ads will feature children highlighting “salient budget facts and the unsustainable future they will face if today’s leaders take no action.” In other words, politicians can expect soaring guilt as Peter Peterson uses adorable children, some toothless, to tell them why they need to get their heads out of their asses soon.

The ads, which will be seen here, will broadcast on Bloomberg TV, Radio and Bloomberg.com. They focus on things most kids think about — the future costs of failing to address America’s long-term fiscal challenges and awareness of a bipartsian plan to strengthen our economy today while putting America on a more sustainable long-term fiscal path. The ads will include a closing message from former Democratic Sen. Bill Bradley (D-N.J.) and the former ever exciting Sen. Judd Gregg (R-N.H.).
