Sovereign/Homestead has announced it is launching Organic Beauty, a bimonthly magazine that will “serve as the authority on everything related to natural, eco-friendly and organic beauty.” Think a green Allure.

Says Berg: “Going green is no longer just a trend, it’s a lifestyle. Organic Beauty will provide a smart, sophisticated resource for women who want to cut through the confusion and find more natural alternatives.” The February issue featuring Olivia Wilde on the cover is on stands now. THE STYLISH NEW AUTHORITY ON ‘GREEN’ BEAUTY
ORGANIC BEAUTY MAGAZINE LAUNCHES NEW YEAR’S DAY

New York City, NY (December 29, 2008) — Sovereign/Homestead is
launching Organic Beauty, a bimonthly magazine that will serve as the
authority on everything related to natural, eco-friendly and organic beauty.
The premiere issue themed ‘Green and Gorgeous,’ hits stands New Year’s Day and will inform women about the green alternative choices in personal-care products, cosmetic surgery, injectables and more.

Rona Berg, former beauty editor of the New York Times Magazine and editorial director of Elle is the editor-in-chief. “Going green is no longer just a trend, it’s a lifestyle,” says Berg. “Organic Beauty will provide a smart, sophisticated resource for women who want to cut through the confusion and find more natural alternatives.”

“We are very excited to be teaming up with Rona to publish a magazine that will help women be healthy and beautiful,” said Diane Hintz, publisher of Organic Beauty. “The organic and natural personal-care product market has hit a phenomenal $7 billion in annual sales. The demand for organic beauty products may be the most important issue to affect the beauty industry in its history.”

Actress Olivia Wilde, known for her social responsibility and participation in humanitarian organizations, seemed the perfect choice for the first cover. She explains in her feature why she recently changed her mind about natural and organic products and why it’s unnecessary to “sacrifice your health with what you’re putting on your body.”

Editorial coverage in every issue will include: natural and organic skin, hair, nail and oral-care products; organic foods, herbs, supplements, elixirs and fitness strategies; Ageless Beauty: natural alternatives to cosmetic surgery and injectables; sustainable beauty, fashion and style trends as well as beauty bargains, up-to-the-minute news and breakthroughs.

Organic Beauty will be distributed nationwide and in select foreign countries by Curtis Circulation Company on New Year’s Day for $4.99. It will be available by subscription at organicbeautymagazine.net.
