Sovereign/Homestead has announced it is launching Organic Beauty, a bimonthly magazine that will “serve as the authority on everything related to natural, eco-friendly and organic beauty.” Think a green Allure.
Rona Berg, who is a former New York Times Magazine beauty editor as well as editorial director of Elle, is the editor-in-chief of the new venture. Says Berg: “Going green is no longer just a trend, it’s a lifestyle. The premiere issue themed ‘Green and Gorgeous,’ hits stands New Yearâ€™s Day and will inform women about the green alternative choices in personal-care products, cosmetic surgery, injectables and more.

Actress Olivia Wilde, known for her social responsibility and participation in humanitarian organizations, seemed the perfect choice for the first cover. She explains in her feature why she recently changed her mind about natural and organic products and why itâ€™s unnecessary to “sacrifice your health with what youâ€™re putting on your body.”
Editorial coverage in every issue will include: natural and organic skin, hair, nail and oral-care products; organic foods, herbs, supplements, elixirs and fitness strategies; Ageless Beauty: natural alternatives to cosmetic surgery and injectables; sustainable beauty, fashion and style trends as well as beauty bargains, up-to-the-minute news and breakthroughs.
Organic Beauty will be distributed nationwide and in select foreign countries by Curtis Circulation Company on New Year’s Day for $4.99. It will be available by subscription at organicbeautymagazine.net.
