WNYC Seeks Newshound for Evening Host Gig

If you’re a newshound that has a passion for public radio, we have a great opening for you. WNYC is looking for an evening news host to anchor hourly newscasts.

In this role, you’ll use your writing and editing skills to craft stories and headlines for distribution on-air and online. You’ll also help monitor, update and prioritize on-air and online news content, as well as record news spots for broadcasts and the Web. You should be relatively tech-savvy, and have a flexible schedule that includes some weekend and early morning hours.

The ideal candidate will have at least three years of journalism experience, along with a minimum of two years as a broadcast host. You’ll need to demonstrate solid news judgment, and be able to project a “professional, accessible and authoritative presence” on the air. Interested? Apply here.
