How Publishers & Authors Can Use SoundCloud

We’ve seen a lot of authors and publishers taking advantage of YouTube to promote their books. Now publishers and authors can use online audio sites like SoundCloud to promote books.

SoundCloud is a platform where you can upload and share audio clips, from music to audiobook clips to recorded readings. The site has more than six million users sharing recordings every day. Once you post an audio track on the site, you can share your audio on social networks like Facebook, Twitter and Tumblr.

Actor Russell Brand is using the platform to promote his new book by uploading audio tracks of him reading the manuscripts. Penguin Books UK is putting audiobook excerpts on the platform. Faber and Faber is posting podcasts on the site and Harper Collins Children is posting readings on the site.
