I am a two-decade consumer and trade veteran of wine, food and lifestyle writing with a keen ability to support marketing/pr execs in getting their brand messages across swiftly and creatively. I have more than 7,000 key contacts wine, spirits and restaurant industry; in-depth knowledge of all sectors (from on-premise to import and distribution); and a solid success rate of getting through to key players. I have worked as an editor and writer for top-notch, national food and wine publications such as Market Watch at M. Shanken and Cheers in SF. I have written freelance for Decanter, Wine Enthusiast and Wine Spectator. I am fluent in Italian, speak passable Spanish and have also been to almost all the world's major wine, spirit regions. I have done multiple national TV segments (ABC's View from the Bay) on food and wine, as well as national radio (Gene Burns and a Matter of Taste). I also do corporate wine tastings and teach WSET Diploma (which I completed in 2000).
