Professional Experience
Well-researched features, reviews, and short humorous news stories are my specialties. My most recent bylines (i.e. this year) include arts and culture reporting for The Economist, a profile of Prof. Shamus Khan for Columbia Graduate School of Arts and Science Superscript, an essay about Google and the MTA for The Awl, and two feature-length articles for The Believer (one about espionage and a second about art), and a monthly column for 3quarksdaily. Previous publications include The L Magazine, Intelligent Life magazine, Foreign Policy, TIME Asia and ImpactGames. Essays forthcoming in the Chronicle of Higher Education.
