Armed with an undergraduate degree in business from the Wharton School and almost ten years of experience in the non-profit world, I have now spent the last decade as a freelance writer, primarily with the alternative weeklies Cincinnati CityBeat (as a film critic and monthly columnist) and Dayton CityPaper (film criticism) as well as a number of online publications (Cinema Confidential, AlterNet, and PopMatters along with the alternative entertainment magazine Paste). In addition, I am also an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati (Journalism) and an independent contractor (teen writing programs) with Cincinnati Public Schools and Lighthouse Youth Services in Cincinnati.
