An award-winning journalist, editor, and author for 25+ years, I cover current events for national audiences and recently coauthored a New York Times best-selling book. As a correspondent for People magazine for 10+ years, I've been sent to Africa and Haiti, writing about disasters, veterans and the military, issues impacting children and families, and the disadvantaged.
