I'm chief pop music writer at Newsday, where I write reviews, interviews and trend stories. I've interviewed everyone from Paul McCartney to Beyonce to Taking Back Sunday. I spearheaded a six-day series on the impact of hip-hop on America, which became a finalist for the Pulitzer Prize.
