My essays and articles have appeared in numerous national publications including, The Washington Post, Huff Post, The Writer's Chronicle, America, Teaching Tolerance, The Good Men Project, and The Millions, among others. I've written about parenting, teaching, running, golf, grief, erectile dysfunction commericials, the art and craft of writing, and many other topics. My first book, A Lion in the Snow: Essays on a Father's Journey Home, was released by Woodhall Press last year. I teach full-time, and am always hunting down new ideas for freelance writing gigs.
