I am interested in transitioning to a creative role as a full-time content editor or copywriter. I am willing to freelance to gain additional experience before taking on a new full-time position. My staff and freelance experiences have been numerous and varied over the years: I served as a Book Editor for well known Boston and New York publishing houses; a magazine writer for the Discovery Channel School science series for kids in NY; a freelance proofreader in NY and around the US remotely; an online Writer and Editor for a women's startup website based in CA. Later, when my kids were young, I freelanced several years as an Editorial Consultant, handling copyediting and proofreading for a diverse client list, including book publishers, authors, colleges, ad agencies, and nonprofits.
